I really want to do a Bachelors of Science, mainly so i can major in Maths. I'm just worried that doing a single degree is boring and may not open enough career opportunities.

Is doing just 1 degree enough considering I only want to major in Maths?

If I do choose a double degree say: B Science/B Engineering, do I do both degrees at the same time ... so 2x the work?

In first year B Science uni, can I choose a hard level Maths?

Thanks

1. Yes, a single degree is enough.
2. Yes, but you do the same number of subjects per semester. You just stay at uni longer.
3. Yes, depending on what uni you pick. Some may not offer 'harder' level maths.

A double degree doesn't necessarily reflect 2 times the work load. At any given time, you will usually do no more subjects than someone doing a full load single degree. You will just spend more time at uni compared to a single degree, but less time than if you did Science separate from Engineering.

I would say 1 degree is enough if you only are interested in Maths.
