Key Words, Key verbs, verb list, whatever you want to call it, after much searching i have found them! And to all of you who've already found them... pft! coz i found it hard!!!!

Also.... 2001-5 very common (in chem anyway): assess, calculate, explain, describe, evaluate, discuss, justify, outline, identify, analyse. Also be aware of the higher order and lower order verbs (ie the easy ones: list describe explain etc; and the hard ones: analyse, assess, justify etc)

i remember seeing a question in i think last year CSSA SOR2 paper telling students to "extrapolate" for one of the extended responses. No one in my class knew what it was and our school doesn't even give us one of those verb sheets in exams =/

you don't get a copy of the sheet in exams. You are suposed to learn them yourself. Your school should have reinforced the key words to you throughout the year and emphasised the use of them :)
very true, we memorised most of the definitions unintentionally after having the teacher constantly remind us and throw at us the reasons of importance for knowing those verbs. yeh, in HSC they aren't given out so I think it would be foolish for a school to distribute them during exams as it may bring misconceptions regarding the true nature of the exam.
