im just curious.. how did/will fellow video drama students find their locations for filming? im in the middle of searching for places for mine and am having a lot of trouble trying to figure out where exactly to look... are there any things i should keep in mind in terms of how the location can affect sound quality or picture quality or anything?
any help would be greatly appreciated - thankyou

When I was writing my script, I kept locations in mind for every scene, so for me, it's been pretty easy. I recommend just looking locally...also remember that what is outside of the frame cannot be seen...so say you were filming a piece from 1900 or something, you could have a patch of bush with a telegraph pole and a police station either side of it, as long as they cannot be seen in the shot.

Just keep looking, wherever you go, keep your eyes out for possible locations...it's the only way you'll achieve anything.
