I'm struggling to decide:
- fathers and mothers in Muslim households: the hierarchy and how it influences the children's' perception of marriage and their roles as husband/wife
-"Helicopter Parenting"--> the impacts on the identity and socialisation of children
- Mrs What's-her-name: the identity issue with marital name change

Are any of these overdone? I really feel unsure about which topic to choose!
Thanks all :)

They're really interesting. The first one I think might be a bit hard to get primary research for, though, unless you know a few Muslims. I don't think any is overdone, maybe discuss this with your teacher as well.

Thanks! Oh, so glad to hear that! I just don't want to be doing something that is 'done to death'. Mmm... how do you think I would go about conducting primary research for the 3rd one? I have a few ideas for the second..but am unsure about the 3rd.
Which do you believe, out of the three, would be the most original yet convenient (research-wise) topic to pick?

I'm not sure who you're talking about in the 3rd, but you could ask some questions via surveys or interviews about what they think about the changes, but you'd have to make sure you question it so they will know what your asking.

I really like your second one and think it might be easiest to conduct research on. I think you should have a look on the net first and see how much info you can get on each.

That's ok :) Know how hard it is at the start.

Tip: make sure you work consistently throughout the year on your PIP, or it makes it really hard and stressful come the time to hand it in. Best of luck, I hope you do really well :)
