Can anyone briefly explain how lateral thrust works, I came across it in Banked Tracks.
Thanks!

No lateral 'thrust' (I'm assuming this is equivalent to force) means there is no force along the slope of the banked track. In other words, the only forces acting on the object are the normal force and gravity. Think of it as a friction force which opposes the object's movement when it slides up or down the slope.
