...when I get my tax back? I can get cheap flights and stuff, so I'm not really factoring that into my costs. I'll realistically have about $4 000 (plus whatever I can get out of the parents). I have 5 weeks of half year break. Where should I go?

Catch a flight to London, Czech Republic, Paris, or Amsterdam (the major European hubs). Then, buy a eurail pass and head wherever you want. Russia is awesome at that time of year, so is Denmark. Everyone loves Switzerland.
