What the title says.

For me I think history's going to be the worst. One, the teacher isn't much good. Two, I spent most history lessons not paying attention and talking to people and daydreaming. If it's a double I just zone out for the whole lesson and if it's a single I figure I'm not going to be in there for long anyway and don't get much done. So when it comes to exams time... well, not good.

Also, science. Not because I'm bad at it, because I'm not, but because the exam papers are so stupid and dodgy.

What about you?

History-We are 2 topics behind and i have learnt nearlythe whole year 10 course by myself.
Geography-We have been summerising textbooks all year

English, Science and Math-All good to go.

And yes i agree the science papers are dodgy......

Can anyone answer this one?
What is the word used by scientists to describe measurements that remain close to each other when repeated?
Consistent?

^I think the word is reliable :)

As for history and geography, it's basically memorising loads of theory, really. And you've still got a month to get all that into your brain, so don't worry :) I remember last year I was on such edge of mental breakdown the night before my school history yearly that I even thought to myself, "I'd take ANY drug now just to let me stay alert and able to memorise all this crap!" XD But in the end it turned out alright. Without me harming my own health too, so you can manage as well ;)

For me, i think I will most likely screw up English and maybe maths. Kinda worried about Hisotry, but I will just skim through all those history notes. Dunno what's going on, but I have been going downhill especailly in Maths and English all the time this year. I don't really think I have learnt much in English this year... teh teacher is not too bad, i just somehow feel left out of class.... :burn: .Oh well, self learning is the way to go...

For science, I have got this really retarded teach who tries to make things "fun", we learn very very little.... Even the so called "crappier" class learn a whole lot more than the "top" class... ahh how ironic...

ive done my sc's last year, and you ppl doinf thsi year have it a whole lot easier too. First and foremost the exmas arent as hard as you think they'll be, heres some tips.
correct me if im wrong but you ppl have 1 monthish to go till the sc's,
read your textbooks, when you think your confident, write the subheading out and write as much as you can about each heading, our teacher last year was the best, she made us learn everything for history in a certain way it was realllly helpful.
for history draw up a table like this on a A4 sheet for every topic
Before

cause
after

Event..

….

….

..

then sort the info in the obese textbook into the context before the event took place, then why it changed and the effect that the change had. i used this method its great because it ensures that you know all the info and that you can write an essay on anything they give you!

for english make you know you techniques for every type of text. every technique from alliteration to structure of each text, its soo handy to know those.

hope it was helpful and goodluck

history is sooo flukable, my history teacher goes as long as u full in the lines provided, u would get high marks, so thats just a tip to those who plan to write a little bit, or a little too much.

im gonna have problems with maths, as i suck at it heaps woot, english and science and geo will be a breeze.

English- went shit throughout the year, trials were ok though

Maths- went pretty well throughout year and i totally killed the trials- was so easy i think i got 100%, but not likely coz i make silly mistakes

Science- went well throughout year, trials was average in difficulty, but i think i did pretty well, because i relearnt all those circuit diagram shit and like 10-15 marks were based on those..

History- went pretty well in a test, stuffed my assignment, and alright in the trials

Geography- my assignments were pretty shitty overall, but still managed to get ok marks. trials werent that hard,

i think my ranks will be pretty good for maths, science, hist and geo.. but its impossible for me to get top 5 in maths coz we have those maths geniuses in our year ><.

^Heh, maths SC is real easy, just don't make any stupid mistakes - make *sure* you don't - and you'd most probably land yourself in 100 :)

How much time have u got?

English: my teacher sucks, i havn't learnt a thing in the two years that he's been my teacher. Quite seriously, i think there are year seven's at our school with a greater knowledge of english these days...and we're in the top class.

Maths: ok so hands up who uses their calculator for everything?

Science: there is way to much content for me too care at the moment. I guess the lesson is, pay attention in class.

We have our trials first two days back at school, talk about a way to ruin our holidays...

See, that's my problem. Stupid mistakes.

Our half yearly exam this year was really relatively easy. Guess what my rank was? 14.

I rest my case.
