I voted Michael Palin absolute champ, maybe close is John Cleese. I'm pretty sure it's Palin who goes, wink wink nudge nudge.

Yeh John Cleese is an absolute champ. Put your hand up if A Fish called Wanda is your favourite movie... Okay *hand up*.
Yeh but Michael Palin comes a close second. Man I loved the "Farthing for an ex-leper" in the life of Brian. Classic...

exsqueeze me, which moron moved this to 'movies'? Python was primarily a television series.

As for my answer: RIP Graham Chapman :(

I like python 2.4

here is how you translate a simple map file into a nice 2D list, then use function display to show it on screen with X marking the chosen coordinates

Code:
def display(y,x,level,width,height):
    print
    for l in range(height):
        for t in range(width):
            if l == int(y) and t == int(x):
                print "X",
            else:
                print level[l][t],
        print

f = open('map.txt', 'rU')

level = []
for line in f:
    segment = []
    for tile in line:
        if tile != "\n":
            segment.append(tile)
    level.append(segment)
width = len(level[0])
height =len(level)

display(0,0,level,width,height)

I have to go with Terry Jones - I can't think of another man who pulls off the whole housewife look as well as he does.

Eric Idle is my favorite, although it was a tough decision between him and Palin.

hehe me too. we got the box set on the weekend and in his day he was so cute. My vote goes to Palin. we watch Life of Brian every christmas eve, ceremoniously, without fail. But i also love the French taunter in The Holy Grail. "Sons of a silly person"... "I dont wanna talk to you no more!". Clease is a close second.

michael palin for sure. everything that i laugh at uncontrollably in python movies and sketches is due to him. sometimes cleese can get a bit idiotic. i mean he's funny but annoying.

michael palin's the catholic father in the "every sperm is sacred" sketch, right?
"im sorry, but it's medical experiments for the lot of you."

Lundy, i still do have an incurable crush on him :eek:.
