So i really wanted to be school captain, but one of my best mates ended up getting it. i don't mind because he deserved it. But the thing is, he seemed pretty dejected, cause he said that the role will affect his HSC heaps; Now i'm sort of happy i didnt get it. So whats your opinion? Does being school captain really affect your HSC? do you know of anyone who it did affect?

not really, most of our school captains get over 99 uai.

It really depends. Not all captains are commited to their school. For example, I have seen few captains at other typical Catholic school getting 100 UAI.

again not really. most school captains are the sort of people who are organised enough to adapt effective study around other things anyway, and end up doing very well anyway.
