It just seems that women were only used as political porns by their families, Julia was married off to Pompey, who in his life had someting like six wives, most to improve his political position/ connections. Cleopatra VII seems the only one that had real power but she only ever ruled on behalf of men. So did women pull the strings or were they just powerless?
Does anyone know much about Servilia and her family connections/ influence?

thanks yeah i guess i'll just have to do a bit more research and focus mainly on Octavia and Livia Drusa/ Julia Augusta

She was also Brutus' mum. She was also Cato's half sister.
