Hey...

Does anyone know what graduates get paid working at the RBA.

I was looking on their website, the job descriptions sound great, but it is a government agency (almost)...

I guess they also have to attract graduates away from Investment Banks etc...

Anyone know anything about working at the RBA?

Thanks
GM

I assume they get paid a hell of a lot
You know why? If you read the graduate recruitment application procedures carefully, you'd need an Upper Class Honours (First of Second class) or superior postgraduate qualifications (likely a distinction average) in Economics to be even considered for an interview!

I doubt it'd be anything astronomical because after all, its a government job which means that you won't be getting paid anything like the private sector would be offering for a graduate of that calibre.

You could probably ring them and inquire about the pay, it'd be worth a shot.

u should have came to the Finance Careers Seminar at UNSW held by comsoc. we had a guy from RBA who also happens to be a lecturer... he talked extensively abt his job, the enviornment of RBA, how to get the job etc.

u can find an interview in the comsoc careers journal which is coming out at the end of the session
