Does anyone have a copy of the ARTS1810 course outline from 2014?

Need it to transfer some credits

    USYD/UNSW Law Transfer

I think the reason why jaydizzlegear posted that was because at least 100 places are guaranteed to only UNSW students, meaning that there are less places for students from external universities. So although it's not impossible, it's more competitive, I'd assume. On that note, USYD is still...

    USYD/UNSW Law Transfer

Like the above poster suggested, you should do arts but at UNSW, not USYD. This is because UNSW has an internal transfer program but USYD does not. So you can go to UNSW and apply for an internal transfer that will take into account only your WAM (they have 100 places for UNSW students) while...

Bachelor of (Global and) International Studies - USYD/UNSW

The reason the course has a higher cut off is because you definitely get to go on exchange and you have compulsory language courses (which a lot of people find difficult at the university level). It is a specialised arts degree. Career prospects obviously depend on your major but copied and...

When and where are course outlines released?

The handbook links you to the respective faculty page but some/most of the course outlines aren't released yet. So I guess I should really only be asking when most of these outlines get released. Before the semester starts?

Should I go to the enrolment advising session?

Mine runs from 10 - 2, does that mean I need to be there for the full four hours? I have already picked my courses but is there any important information given out then?

Castle Hill to UNSW Travel Expense Options

For Castle Hill, since there are no train stations, you have to catch the bus for your 3 days. You can either get a MyMulti1 which is about $23 and will give you unlimited travel on buses for the entire week or you can buy a Travel10 for 6+ sections and 3-5 sections. ALL MyMultis give you...

Need help regarding course structure of Psych Science

For the first semester it appears that you have to take PSYC1001 Psychology 1A as it's compulsory. The other compulsory Level 1 subject PSYC1011 only runs in the second semester. Edit: I think the rest of your subjects would depend on what you're majoring in.

    How necessary is historiography?

Effective use of historiography will make it much easier for you to get a band 6 in your extended responses but I wouldn't really worry about it for part B of your personality response.

Which are the best first year history and politics subjects?

What about Concepts of Europe - ARTS1780 or Cosmos and Culture: Science in History - ARTS1301?

Which are the best first year history and politics subjects?

What made the subject boring for you? The course outline seemed to cover some really interesting topics. Are the assessments particularly difficult? I'd love some more information. (:

Which are the best first year history and politics subjects?

    Nope, they're my free electives.

Which are the best first year history and politics subjects?

I was thinking of taking ARTS1270 (Global History: the World in the Making) and ARTS1840 (Introduction to politics) for the first semester.
