Do you mean "prescribed" texts?
E.g. you're doing Prescribed Text A
and another school is doing Prescribed Text B, then I don't think they'll let you.
But if you're sharing the
same related/supplementary text, then that will be fine.
That is, if you're doing TWO prescribed texts from the list of prescribed texts, then I don't think you're allowed to do that, since they are from the same list (that makes sense)
If everyone sitting for the HSC uses the same supplementary (additional, related) text, then that won't be a problem, assuming everyone finds the same text, knows how to integrate it into their response, etc
I don't believe you're able to use OTHER "set" (or prescribed) texts, even if you're not doing it.
(Because someone in my class asked if he's allowed to use Extension prescribed texts as part of his Advanced English essay, and the teacher said no)
Unless this rule doesn't apply for Standard, in which case... I best be going
