This is a walkthrough on how to find out how many hours you will be doing a week.

1. Login to MyUNI
2. Go to MyAdmin
3. Student Self Administration
4. Click Unit of Study Handbook

Then you just search for your units. Alpha is the Letters eg ENGL and the digit is obviously the number half. eg. 1020.

To find out from the guide how many tut/lecs just look to the left when you are viewing the handbook for that particular unit and it will say how many lecs and tuts and the duration of both.

Hmmm some of my units don't show hours per week, eg. ECMT1010, but i'm guessing that I have about 12-14 hours per week.
Is this normal for a B Commerce - semester 1?

nope, it depends on the subject and faculty.

PHIL1011 - 2hr Lec…. 1 Tut (3 Hours)
ENGL1020 - 1 hr Lec….1 Tut (2 Hours)
PSYC1001 3h Lec……1 Tut (4 hours)
SLSS1001 - 2h Lec…....1 Tut (3 Hours)

Total 12 Hours - Avg 2.5 Hours a day

as you can see they all vary with the subjects im doing.

Another way to find out how many hours you and also when your lectures and tutes could be held then go to:

1. MyUni
2. Go to My Study
3. Scroll to bottom and click on Timetable Unit
4. Choose 'Find the timetable for a particular unit'
5. Enter UOS Code and then the lecture/tute/lab times are shown

Repeat step 5 for all you units!!!

If it doesn't say how long the lectures and tuts are can i just assume they're 1 hour. If that is the case then I have a taxing 13 hours.
