hey does ranking really impact that much in the internal assessments?
like i was told that if the marks between each student in...lets say... business studies right is like one mark between each position then ranking does not really matter that much?

eg. position mark
1st 39/40
2nd 38/40
3rd 37/40
4th 36/40
5th 34/40
6th 34/40
7th 34
8th 33
9th 32
10th 32 etc.........

it doesn't matter. either way just try the hardest you can - that way you won't end up regretting anything after it's all done.

and just a tip - there really is NOT much point in worrying about whether... "how much the ranks matter or points between ranks" or whatevz cos at the end, what matters is how hard YOU have tried.

I thought ranks were extremely important.. for the internal assessments worth 50% of your hsc mark, isn't your mark for that determined by your correlating rank, depending on marks from people within your cohort..?

we know it's important. we're just stating and clarifying that as important as they ARE - what is the point in YOU worrying about HOW important they are, just as long as you do YOUR best?!

Obviously trying your best is what everyone should do, but that statement from Buiboi was asking how the ranks worked.

woah guys settle lol. A wise man once told me there are TEN whole weeks before the hsc where you learn nothing new and about SIXTEEN WEEKS of school and holidays BEFORE the ten weeks. THEN you will have to get your act together and that is plenty of time to review all your notes you have made AS YOU GO. Just dont stress too much guys just concentrate!!! TEN weeks of learning nothing. Thats a total of about 26 weeks so start now if u havnt already and u will be fine
