I have actually drafted and submitted guidelines to Laz recently for regulating the news/ca/politics forum which I think are quite fair. I would be interested to see what people think of them... but I can't post them yet... Certain things are in the works at the moment, so approval of them may or may not happen. I think perhaps there should be a concencus amungst say... asquithian, moonlight, xayma, generator to promote people to a sort of political rank, like the "benefactor" status..
Just to let people kno this person is someone who's regulary posting worthwhile stuff in the political forum.

Then regulars in other threads would demand similar rank in their threads, and we'd have a sprawling bureacracy with meaningless titles assigned to every member. I think am attractive decoration or Symbol the Council can put in their sig would be enough.

Regarding the discussion on free trade, well there's a difference between free trade and fair trade.

A good book to read is Globalisation and Its discontents by Jospeh Stiglitz.
