They dont check whther your full time or part time..you just go and make it yourself...all the kiosk people have to do is set up, stand there and make sure nothing runs out. :p

It's true that UTS don't organise as many activities as other unis, but then again we have a number of orientation camps for different faculties that other unis don't (which the uni usually pays for half of it)
Not completely true, USYD has an orientation camp for engineering, but that's kinda end of march-ish.

lol I didn't go to the official welcome, someone tell me what it is like so that I know what I missed last year lol.

I just went to my faculty welcome, and then to O day to scam some free stuff.

Plus some of the UTS housing activities....

Plus I remember trying to get in to the International Students Cocktail Party by putting on a fake accent... it didn't work lol.

i dont know why uts doesnt bother to do an oweek, but in the end who cares

i think it would be better though if ppl knew each other b4 they start on the 28th

i mean i know u had ur camp, but not every1 did something like that

some old woman from the UTs came upp to me and starting interviewing me, saying what do u think of the plan that it would be compulsary for us to pay for all the events uni holds eg oweek, meaning students dotn have to pay for it but, there will be less events. some government scheme or sometihng .

UTS *does* have an o-week. Read what people have said above. O-Day on Wednesday is the clubs and societies day where you can join stuff you like, as well as a whole bunch of sponsor companies who come along and give out free stuff and promote their companies.

The other days have a whole bunch of seminars as well as faculty welcomes for those that haven't already had one at a camp. Visit http://www.orientation.uts.edu.au for details.
