I'm really not but, Mitt Romney is the most progressive Republican candidate in living memory, the polls all suggest a virtual dead heat of an election, all in all there really isn't much cause to be decisive.

LOL half the ppl here don't know whats going on. Obama's certainly won, presidency is not based on popular vote it is based on the electoral college ask Al Gore and Bush. Obama holds all the swing states he will win with 290 seats 314 if he gets Florida. Election's over I've called it.

The trouble with that though is not many people hold those. While in contrast a much greater number hold bachelor degrees (and higher).

Plus, you would need candidates to have that minimum education requirement etc. Most politicians do hold bachelor degrees.

I mean any sort of bachelors, including an Arts degree even etc. It would basically help ensure that people are
a) mature enough to vote
b) more often than not of the higher earning capacity of workers who pay more tax (and these are the people that should get a larger say as to how the country is run)

a) Bachelors degree =/= maturity. You're one of the most immature people I know and you're a phD candidate.

Well the vote could be weighted in some form based upon the amount of tax a person pays (obviously capped at a maximum weight [100K tax or something etc] so you don't then have Gina Rhinehart running the country etc).

Or perhaps the weighting could be based upon a number of factors such as age, education level, average tax paid over last 5 years, + a multitude of other factors etc.

you kidding? he came into office after america had just had two terms of who is considered the worst president post world war II.
he inherited a lot of problems that he first had to fix and he fixed them pretty well, especially the economy.

HE did an atrocious job. The economy is not "fixed" at all.

Though tell me, do you really think he responded in a radically different way than the "worst president since WW2" would have? Of course not.

he ran into some problems with the economy in recent times. but anyone who's done economics in HS or uni would know that you are going to have contractions and expansions occuring. its nearly impossible to have perfect employment levels etc at all times.

there's a huge fucking difference between "perfect" (full?) employment, and a real unemployment rate of around 22%
