i think this would be interesting if anyone can be bothered. the idea is basically to predict the final premier league ladder. mine -

1.Chelsea

daylight

2.Man utd
2.Arsenal
4.Liverpool
5.Tottenham
6.Everton
7.Birmingham
8.Aston Villa
9.Newcastle
10.Middlesborough
11.Bolton
12.Fulham
13.Charlton
14.Blackburn
15. West Ham
16. Man City
17. Portsmouth
18. Wigan
19. West Brom
20. Sunderland

I'd actually be fairly suprise to see everton repeat last seasons performance. I think newcaslte will probably underachieve as usual but should at least be looking for a top half finish. Tottenham I think should be looking to improve on last season performance given that they are young and hopefully in a more settled environment this year.

tottenham as no.5??
woah

they've got a good squad, but they are way too inconsistent, give them a few more yrs then we will see their youth policy rewarding them

I agree that Everton will find it tough this season. I doub't they'll manage to hold on to Cahill much longer. He'll be gone by Christmas, if not the start of the season.

1. Chelsea (Bought alot, and well. I'm especially hopeful for SWP)
2. Man U (Bought well after being Glazed)
3. Liverpool (Bought well, and now they wont have any reason for playing Kewl)
4. Arsenal (Bought badly, will have a lot of trouble replacing Vierra)
5. Bolton (Underacheived last season)
6. Middlesbrough (I think Hasselbank and Yakubu will be strong up front)
7. Aston Villa (Shuold stay pretty consistent)
8. Everton (If they can hang on to Cahill by some miracle)
9. Tottenham (Davids could go either way)
10. Newcastle (Bought badly, will continue their form from last year)
11. Charlton (Disapointing last year)
12. Birmingham (Bought poorly)
13. Blackburn (No chance)
14. Fulham (Lose a lot after Van Der Sar, Malbranque will need to fire to improve)
15. West Brom (Will take heart from their last day escape)
16. West Ham (Sherrigham may score some goals before his walking stick snaps)
17. Man City (Will lose a lot through Wright-Phillips. Still have his brother)
18. Sunderland (Not by much, but will go down)
19. Portsmouth (Useless)
20. Wigan (A nice appearence, might even get a couple of surprise wins)

No offense, but good as Big Sam is, any season where Bolton pushes for a European spot should be considered a good achievement for them.

Cant be bothered making a list, however I agree that Everton will struggle, and will be somewhere outside the top 8.

I think a lot will depend on how far Everton go in Europe. Look at Ipswich, lyk the Toffees a club w/ a small squad who overachieved one season. They got to the 3rd or 4th round of the UEFA Cup but ended up being relegated that same season...

Seein that Everton iz drawn against Villareal, I have my doubtz that they can even make the CL proper.

And az fo the premiership, no daylight between Chelsea and the rest, but we'll just beat em by 1 or 2 pointz and claim the title. :)

I think there will be a bit of daylight if Arsenal don't find someone to replace Vieira and Man Utd don't buy at least one more quality player, i.e- Ballack.
