Welcome HSC-class of 2007 to the year 11 forum!!
You can leave the school certificate behind and move onto the HSC.
Time will go by quickly (it's only 3 terms long) and things will get tougher but don't despair. It'll take time for you to adjust to year 11. You will all make it. Relax during these holidays. Don't stress!

For this year...

Welcome and good luck to the class of '07. Enjoy these holidays you shouldn't be doing anything to prepare just relax these are your last free summer holidays, enjoy the heat. Enjoy this year as it is the last year that doesn't count towards final HSC marks anyway. And remember 'work hard but don't stress'!

Thanks Riviet and Kid.@dmin for your well wishes, I hope you two (and everyone else in the class of '06) make the most of your last year of school also :)

Well, I'm doing:
Adv English
Maths Ext
Biology
Chemistry
Economics and
Business Studies

And MissMoo, I'm not sure if there's anything you should do to prepare for year 11, everyone else (the year above us) has said preparation isn't necessary, however, if your teacher actually gave you work or if you had rollover, then I guess that's all you'd need to know for the start of a fresh year :)

This time next year you guys should be doing revision and such since it'll be your HSC year, but for now, take it nice and slow. No use exhausting yourselves this far out. :)

It's just year 10...why do you HSC people get all nerdy about it? Does it impact on your HSC results/subjects/anything?

Between you and pubert, there's going to be a lot of competition- you two do the same subjects.

I'm doing:

Mathematics, (including Extension 1),
Advanced English,
Chemistry,
Legal Studies,
Economics,
and Information Technology

I was hoping to do Physics instead of Chem, but it was moved to an after school subject, and I don't care enough about my future to stay back after school.

Welcome to BOS Snarkie.

You can always drop your extension if everything gets to much but you should at least give it a term before you decide if you need to drop anything. Who knows there are people that can handle 14 units you might be one of them although remember for your UAI and your HSC you only need 10 units but it is recommended to have 12 units in case you do worse then expected in one subject.

This year I'm doing:

Adv English
Ext English
Adv Maths
Ext Maths
Physics
Chemistry
Legal Studies
Economics

14 units and shit-scared!
I already want to drop Ext English but English is one of best subjects, the other being History, so I am thinking about changing to Modern History from Chemistry or Physics (if subject lines permit), or maybe I should just drop Chem or Physics and keep both my extensions??
Ah well, we will see in a few weeks eh?
