Do you have custom/personalised plates for your car?

Sigh the one I want (whilst available) costs $500+ a year :vcross: ... but my cousins back in Malaysia were nice enough to order me official number plates (which are legit over there) for me as a present (and incentive to move back). Because I'm so lame, I thought I'd attach them to my Civic and take a few photos~

Why must the RTA charge so much for custom plates :(

I will be getting plates when i get my car. It'll be euro style (so flash), and it'll be N-JL 003. JL being my initials, 003, cos my mate has 003 at the end, being his birth month, but i think i'll follow, and get our group of mates to all get plates ending in 003. oh yeah, and the N at the front has to be there, on the euro plates. i think it stands for NSW.

Edit: and also, mine's not $500 a year, its $130 i think, because it follows the standard format. ie, its not like 6 letters, etc. and my dad'll be getting another car soon hopefully, and i said i'd get him a number plate. I think it'll be CEO 007. hahaha, it's weird, cos all the other CEO 00*'s are taken, except 7. ?? 007 is normally like one of the first to be taken...

Yup I think N stands for NSW and is a compulsory part of the Euro-plates. A lot of countries (well, I can think of a few) also have the first letter being significant as it's indicative of where the car was registered.

I just want "JACE88"... probably will grow out of it. I know it's not too creative but I'd still like it. I also remember in a kids movie (might've been Casper? or Addam's Family? one of those kinds of movies) there was an evil woman, and her car, had her name and then 01 on it. I remember thinking that was very cool as well.

On a hot, black SL55 AMG, I reckon it would look great. But if you're talking about the Civic, I don't think that you could get the same effect.

stuff custom plates...waste of money IMO...its the car people usually look at not the plates...I dont understand why people have like custome plates and drive shit boxes!! liek this one hell bomey ford the other day with all different coloured pannels had a custome plate on it!!!! Why not spend the $600 fees or what ever it is on a back yard re spray!

I just like having the slim white plates...I think they look way better then the ugly yellow plates the rta gives you, luckily both cars I have owned have the white slim plates..they look good and their FREE!!!!!

White Slim Plates are $30 more than the yellow ones aren't they? I think personalised plates are cool, they add a lot of personalisation to the car, but at $500+ a year, it's a tad steep... but then that must be the premium you pay to be unique. If you can afford a nice car, then you can afford a nice plate to go with it.

And... I agree- "911" or "SL55" would look good (on their respective cars), but not something lame like BMW318 or MBC180...

I think a Yellow Ferrari, or even a yellow Mini Cooper (with black roof!) would look good with the standard fare yellow plates.

ahahaha, did it have scratches on it?

in the city, i saw this silver rx8, with number plate EVO 0IX. It had two massive key marks on its bonnet, in the shape of crosses. and on the side too i think. from memory. even on the boot. that is so tight. like massive keying.
