I'm guessing that's the first time anybodys lost despite winning 39 straight service games

I doubt we will see another Federer in our lifetimes. A privilege to watch exquisite tennis from both players - the contrasting styles between Federer's finesse and Roddick's raw power. You wonder what might have been though had Roddick not choked in the second set tiebreak after being 6-2 up and one set up though. Federer may set a grand slam record that will never be broken.

hahaha he always has a HINT of arrogance in his speech.
kudos to him, but i think he would've preferred going through nadal to win it (or maybe not? :p)

He hasn't won the last five US Opens without sheer professionalism. Tiger Woods was able to strike a balance between winning grand slams and fatherhood, so I am sure Federer will do the same.

Totally!
Looking forward to the US Open where Federer will be ranked number one in the world.

I'm fucking gutted. Can't imagine how terrible Roddick feels right now. Did you guys see Roddick's reaction when Federer said "don't worry, Andy, I know what it's like to lose in a tight match. I did it last year" and you could lip read Roddick saying something like "yeah, you've already won it 5 times already though"

4am and I can't see myself getting some sleep any time soon

sleep will not come.

i do feel sorry for roddick sometimes. he gets so close, so often
2004, 2005 and now 2009

I thought i saw a tear when he was sitting down and applauding for Federer.

I need to sleep soon :(.

If i don't sleep, i wil increase my chances of passing out in the gym ..almost did about 5 weeks and 3 days ago.

Sampras looks pretty hot on tv, really photogenic.
