Take 12 units if you dont like agriculture and let it be the 2 units that dont count, just a suggestionI am in Year 10 this year and recently, I have received acceptance offers from both Syd Tech and Hurlstone.
STHS vs HAHS
Pros for STHS:
- 100% Freedom of Subject Choices
Pros for HAHS:
- I know a few people there
Cons for STHS:
- Lower ranked than HAHS
- All Boys
Cons for HAHS:
- Must do Agriculture for HSC so Year 11 and 12 (I don't like Agriculture content wise and its scaling)
It takes me around the same amount of time to get to both schools, transport wise.
Discuss. Opinions? Which school would you go to?
I also need opinions from Hurlstoners and Syd Techies!
Thanks for the suggestion. Though, I'd like to have a back-up plan/subject which I would like to do.Take 12 units if you dont like agriculture and let it be the 2 units that dont count, just a suggestion

But thanks for the suggestion!
I need more suggestions and opinions!
definitely go to hurlstone thenAgriculture is only compulsory for one year.
I was pretty sure it was 2 years? Get slyhunter on this!Agriculture is only compulsory for one year.
What's your take on this slyhunter?It's 2.
+1Hurlstone, in my opinion.
couldn't u just do it without applying much effort in it ? ( by choosing more units)It's 2.
Replied to your PM.What's your take on this slyhunter?
Agriculture is intense and doing shit in it deliberately won't look good on your final HSC report.+1
couldn't u just do it without applying much effort in it ? ( by choosing more units)
Hurlstone sets a minimum and maximum of 12 units. So I can't do 14 units.+1

oh i seeHurlstone sets a minimum and maximum of 12 units. So I can't do 14 units.
Having that extra 2 is like my back-up plan and I'd rather have Business Studies (I do very good in Commerce and believe I'll do strong in Busi Studies) rather than Ag but it's still up for discussion. I am not replacing Economics or Physics with Business Studies so yeah.oh i see
but you still have 10 units to count towards ur hsc
Shane's awesome.Lol I met the school captain of Hurlstone once...pretty overlyfriendly kind. i think shane is his name.
Anywayz I would go Hurlstone in your position
