Sutherland Shire or the North Shore. Those aren't suburbs, but find good suburbs within those areas and you're sweet. Some burbs in the Inner West are pretty good, but there's too many lefties there.

Depends what you prefer. Some like the upper north shore because it's quiet and peaceful (such as Killara and Wahroonga). Eastern suburbs is quite nice but can be a bit too touristy.
