RIP

Was actually a nice exam overall, nothing really threw me.

The time KILLED me though. So I fucked up section 1, the last 3 marker and 5 marker definitely won't be getting full marks for that since I simply didn't have time to properly answer them.

I can't write fast.
That is my weakness.

How are you supposed to write 7 pages in 40 mins

They had pictures for the creative writing, so gooooooooooood + an idea about unexpected discoveries or something. Essay question was super generic, easy to adapt to.

Section 1 had like 2 short stories, a poem, and a picture.

The time absolutely destroyed me. I was writing literally my fastest. Still got screwed over by it.

EDIT: LOL no I'm just hoping my creative + essay makes up for the lost marks in section 1.

the time was the biggest killer omg. the short answers took 45 mins (lolshit) coz I'm a slow reader and had to process what I read about the unseens. the essay was fine since I was abled to adapt my prepared ideas and evidence. but fuck, the creative was a shocker, only managed 5 pages rofl

I'm more concerned about paper 2 tho, how the hell am I gonna write 3 essays in 2 hours. Thank goodness for memorised essays (which I'm gonna start roting after lunch l0l)

Here's my evaluation of how I went:

Section I - themed on curiosity/wonder? That was a little unexpected. But I think I did pretty well; I wrote heaps for the (e) to pretty much guarantee I get all the marks. Hoping for 15/15

Section II - stimuli were a bit odd, I ended up using the middle one, making up some crap about 'soaring' due to the results of ones study of books (it worked with my story). One of the stimuli would have been perfect for an old story I had, but I decided not to write it because my other story was stronger. Hoping for 15/15

Section III - essay question was pretty good, I felt my analysis was quite strong until I looked up at the clock and realised there was only 5 minutes left. Ended up having to skip a couple of sentences in my RT paragraph, which ended up being around one and a third pages long compared to around 2 for the other paragraphs. Hoping for 15/15 but in reality will probs get something like 13 or 14 due to the shortness of RT paragraph.

Overall, pretty happy - and very glad it's over.
