Last year were both power/energy related to nuclear fission and fusion. This year probably something to do with the model of atom and then probably planck, eistein and photoelectric effect.
Just realised you were asking about inquiry equastion. I would say it would be some combination of chapter 10 and 11 and then 14 and 15

I cant remember where i read it but apparently its a requirement for 2 6-9 questions in the new syllabus for hsc tests. Dont know how legit this is

same, especially if it asks something where you explain why Einstein proposed his model of light which you can relate to Planck and the ultraviolet catastrophe, and the wave model of light and all the inconsistencies between classical models

Yeah but they can be calculation, there isn't a stipulation they have to be historical

yeah but its hard to ask a calculation question worth 6-9 marks. Even last years one still had a decent amount of writing to do

Not really, challenging enough questions can justify seven marks, especially if you have to do two of them in the one question. The only problem is that I don't think they'll do it...probably end up being writing and explanation

if they asked a high mark on a practical with the stuff from the first chapter like validity, accuracy, systematic errors etc that would be a definite lose of marks for me.

100% the questions are so bullshit which is why i dont think they will ask them because usually the physics teachers and by extension the people who write the physics exam also think its abit trivial

It probably is Einstein's model of light, but you don't need to recognise what he himself did. So you can talk about photoelectric effect and cutoff frequency and so forth which is inconsistent with wave model but you shouldnt need to mention what Einstein's contribution vs other scientists is as long as you talk about them generally

not sure about that because the only contributor was Einstein who built on the work of plank and applied it to the photoelectric effect. Planks work was just a mathematical trick to solve the ultraviolet catastrophe and he thought it was useless. Einstein then used it as the basis for his assumptions that explained the photoelectric effect and its characteristics like threshold frequency, max kinetic energy, intensity vs frequency, all or nothing principle, forming the photon model of light
