probably a bad thing. you have to revise over the holidays for the assessments in week 2 and 3, and then learn new content and revise for your assessment block in week 9
I think that’s accurate. I’ll definitely try and grind this term too.

idk how i feel about accelerating.. it's good to get out of the way, but i keep reconsidering if i'm spending enough time on stuff and i keep procrastinating 😭 a bit of a blessing and a curse at the same time ig
accelerated maths adv was definitely a blessing because i can't imagine doing the hsc for it next year, so glad that it's gone- but i do agree with the curse bit because now i'm kinda soo behind on my other subjects and year 12 has only started 😭

I just found out I’ve only got two assessments this term - one for SORII and the other for English. The rest are weeks 2-3 of next term. Idk if this is good or bad. It’s nice to have chill end to the year but I’m also not feeling the pressure atm. It just means I’ll have to grind the summer holiday break.
damn! all my assessments are in around week 8-9, not looking forward to it but whateverrrrrr, i'd much prefer assessments this term than have to grind in the holidays even more

omg languages are so cool, i would have done korean or japanese if i had the option but i had other priorities bahaha, they're more like hobbies on my side

what language are you doing? i mean, languages typically don't have many past papers, but you could always redo them or redo questions you got incorrect

Does anyone else have the same problem where although math makes up 33% of your subjects it takes up ~75% of your study? I think I've spent the past two weeks grinding maths and I only just realised that I do have other subjects.

maths (more 4u than 3u in y12) was my most lacking subject so i spent a lot of time improving it in the periods that weren't leading directly up into the assessment bloc. added to the fact my maths teacher literally just assigned the entire exercise for hw in cambridge yeah it took quite a bit. try not to sacrifice that time for your other subjects tho - i learned mod 5 chem and bio in the holidays before and english was a breeze so the only other thing i was working on was learning new content for modern but with maths it was a bit of a struggle for me personally

Tbh I think humanities you can 'study to the test' a bit more and just memorise stuff specific to the exam. Maths takes more effort spread throughout the term.

true for maths you have to remember how to do so many topics and kinds of questions and they all apply in exams

unless maths is your weakest subject by a fair mile, you shouldn’t be spending nearly that much time on it. to be fair though, I think everyone does that when they first start 4u until they realise it’s overkill

I've heard there's a massive shock when everyone starts 4u. The current kid ranked 1 in 4u in my school was going to quit within the second week because he found it too hard. I assume afterwards it levels out.
