unrelated, but how do you even practice/prepare for imaginatives & discursives anyways??? i genuinely don't know what else i'm supposed to do other than memorize the techniques in the rtw texts and writing practice pieces, bc either way it takes me a while to come up with an idea & actually settle on how to write it. is there anything else i should be doing???

oh for imaginative's i just memorise my entire story, and then just map it around the stimulus during the exam.
I make sure my story is very mouldable though
i haven't really done a discursive before

anyways gtg lock in again!

Well for starters- my teacher absolutely hates me and kinddddd of emotionally/ mentally abused me a bit since year 7 and then made fun of me for being afraid to ask her a simple question or approach her and was kind of touchy with me a couple times which she knew i wasn't comfortable with yet she did it another two times- she always blames me for everything (her own issues but she projects it onto me) which is rlly eurgh but oh well-.
in terms of the subject it's taking the joy out of music for me- in terms of me performing and theory as well. It's unnecessary stress for me because me personally, i cannot handle 14 units and i wasn't going to continue it in year 12 anyways. ALSO the issues with my hands are not getting any better and in fact are getting worse and pulling up new symptoms and crap- which was fine for me because y'know i sing and what not- but then my teacher was like no if you're gonna sing do live accompaniment and i quote "Simple chords aren't going to be too hard for you right" AHEM- anyways I have no more energy for this subject and i'm totally cooked- the subject that is supposed to be a break for me is actually taking the life outta meeee so like f it we ball i'm dropping it next week- getting study periods finally and crying over other subjects.
P.S. sorry for the rantttttttt ANYWAYS MWAH
snitch on her

idk if anyone has every told u guys but at school students always have more power than teachers (they cant kick u but u can, they cant send u to jail but u can)

tell ur parents abt her let them deal n if ur going ti respond w ‘its not a big deal’ remember that others might be going through the same especially since u mentioned shes very touchy

it IS a big deal n u should do something abt it no matter how shy u r

My parents do know and have told me to just leave it and avoid - however this teacher is very well respected and i'm getting away from her anyways-
she wasn't too touchy and i always made it clear that i did not like to be touched at all when she occasionally did it- even if it's just a hand on the shoulder or what not- that I instantly move away from her but i think she realises that i don't like it and she always moves away instantly-
As far as i am currently aware- no one else is experiencing this because they either hate the teacher- or stay away from her. this teacher has made me 'stage manager' and her conductor apprentice so i was kind of closer to her than other students (typing this up now makes me realise that i'm glad i stopped conducting with her- although that is something i wish i pursued- she's put so much unnecessary pressure on me but like f it we ball i'm getting out of there).

N u said she's been doing it since yr 7? Why have u been quite for so long?
So i'm terribly afraid of confrontation- and the way i've been brought up is to just kinda keep quiet and 'smile and wave'
When i was in the younger years music was compulsory and i wasn't close to her because i didn't join band until years 8-9 and it was then that i realised that we might have some issues-
I'm also very afraid that my parents will be involved and then it'll all become a big deal and i don't want to have issues with the school or have my parents turn the whole thing on me-
Like- this teacher is the head of the performing arts department and has been at the school for ages her reputation is crazy people will prolly just tell me to drop it or just leave it.

unrelated (sorta), but just quickly asking before exams (still in a few hours), is any of this legible to any of you? just a bit worried that i'll get marked down bc of the marker not being able to read shit. also do you guys think that blue or black pen would be better here for legibility’s sake

Use black -- And a thinner pen, if you can find one. You'll be alright.

should also ask which of the 0.5 (standard line) or 0.7 (thicker line) pen is more legible/personal opinion on which is better (on the top of the first page, the first four lines, thinner & thicker-lined repetitions of a sentence), bc while 0.7 pen is smoother in writing and a little faster for it too, the lines are thicker than usual, which can make it harder to read w/ my compact & tiny handwriting, and while 0.5 is the standard, thinner line is easier to read w/ my handwriting, it's a bit less smooth and requires me to push a bit more onto the paper (not too much more, but still noticeable) (btw both the 0.5 & 0.7 pens are from the same brand)

i love my daiso 0.5 black ink pens
it's like 4 bucks for a pack of 8 or smth

definitely don't do ball point or felt tip, cuz you have to press on the page (Taking a longer time to write)

Idk if this helps but i can read it? But i'm good at ready other people's handwriting- However like Study2 said- it does really depend on your marker and how willing they are to try. But yea- try a different, thinner pen when you can and see how comfortable it is to write with and hold- and maybe a less inky pen- i use ballpoint (the blue pen with 4 colours)

i use gel ink pens, so i should be fine-ish (they write really smooth even w/ little pressure)
