isnt the remainder meant to be a whole number?..i worked out the 3x - 8 bit...but i thought u could eliminate the x?

i figured what a and b were...but what was the remainder when u divided it by x+1 and x-3??? i knew that i shoulda known cos i remember doing something similar before..but i just completely blanked out...and i still havent been unblanked..hehe

i had 30mins to do q7...so i like "finished" even though i didnt work half of it out.

whats the answer to this question? i got -2.51m.. ur given dA/dt = -9.8 and u wanna find dx/dt, which is dx/DA times dA/dt and since ur given the eqn for A, dA/dx equals blah..flip it, then times it and sub in x = -0.3?

Ok for that example...is the oblique asymptote - x - 3?? now im confused...i thought i understood limits:(
