I support humanity and dignity therefore I am vehemently opposed to the crass & cruel demonising of BOTH asylum seekers and the impoverished boatmen that provide them passage (also at great risk to their own safety). They should be given safe passage and processed on Australian soil without delay. If you want to cut down on "illegals" then turf the visa-overstayers from the west - such as the UK - out: there is a hell of a lot more of them than there are refugees.
I am a strong supporter of democratic socialism and harbour a strong distrust in the motivations of large corporations. I strongly support the Occupy! movement & the struggling 99%. I also believe the Workers of the World should unite to prevent being oppressed / used or abused.
