It was a very open ended question this year. Responsibility from what perspective was not specified so you could do whatever with it. My friend did the social responsibility for crime and how societal values and attitudes shape it. Another person from my cohort interpreted the question as...
I did the creative first and wiped it out in ~45minutes. The question perfectly suited my story, I hardly needed to change it asides make the connection a bit more obvious (i.e. they're the two personas of the same person with Disassociate Identity Disorder).
The essay for crime made me think...
Pompeii/Herculaneum: doable, but it's noticeably getting harder and harder. The 10 marker questions are just getting more predictable too, yet in spite of this, it never occurred to me to revise on changing technologies. D'oh.
Sparta: 15 marks on economic activity in Sparta made me cry...
Mod A (Gatsby and EBB): couldn't be happier with the question, but I may have neglected the 'appreciation' aspect of it because I didn't use first person. Although I've been told my style is very personal even when it's in third person??? So I may have JUST gotten away with it
Mod B (A Doll's...
Section I was decent, although that last question threw me off about the complex emotions.
Section II was great, primarily because the the picture + reasons to embrace people suited my prepared story :P
Section III ...the Catholics did it again.
Overall, I should be able to cement a B5 and...
There's this legend at my school, which really helped boost my cohort's morale after the half-yearlies.
In 2011, a student consistently scored 40%-50% throughout most her internals for Advanced. She was more or less the type of student that the teacher sort of lost hope for, and as it was too...
So here are my ranks overall so far (half-yearlies + earlier assessments):
English Advanced: 1/30
English Extension 1: 1/6
English Extension 2: 1/3 (based off the speech and report, though it's kind of hard to say as the HSC mark isn't really determined by rank )
Mathematics 2u: 3/28...
Adv:
- Finalise notes on belonging, including a rough plan for 2-3 creatives

Eng Ext 1:

2013 HSC All Rounders.
English Advanced: 90+ (ideally 93-95, but I will still be ecstatic with 90)
English Extension 1: 46/50 +
English Extension 2: 46/50 +
Ancient History: 97 (lol)
Modern History: 92 (lolol)
Mathematics: 94
I think I'll fall short of these marks in Advanced and Ancient, but...
I'm aiming for 3-4 hours minimum, considering the fact I have 9 study periods a fortnight at school. So there are some days where I have studied an hour and a half at school alone (who doesn't love double study periods? :L). This includes homework, writing notes, writing drafts for my EX2 major...
I'd choose Chemistry, Legal Studies or Economics instead of Business Studies. I don't know what possess me to choose Business in the first place, but thank goodness it's over.
No one has dropped from any of my subjects... yet.
Which is a shame. Half of my modern class can barely locate Russia on a world map.
And I'm predicting half of the extension maths cohort to drop, me included. So from 28 to.. 15 at most.
English extension is downright lol. 5 people in the...
Think that's small? I have FIVE people in my extension English class. And 3 of them wants to drop the class for the HSC.
So...
1/5 Ext. Eng
1/64 Adv. Eng
3/98 Maths
2/28 Ext. Maths
1/27 Modern
1/67 Ancient
7/87 Business Studies lol
