You're confusing everyone. Students should know that their assessment marks mean nothing, except the rank. ALL MARKS are determined IN the hsc exams in oct/nov.
1. You get 2 marks
2. You always get the mark you get in the exam (as the HSC mark) and your assessment mark will be based on your...
I believe its automatically now (they recently changed it), I missed out a few years back because my idiotic school nominated the highest ATAR student despite knowing his intentions of going to usyd
@HoldingOn I'm not sure you know what you're talking about, at unsw you get fair few people on the AAA scholarship (and other various bonus points) and they are well below the 99.65+ atar requirement.
@OP that LAT score should get you in. And yes Law at any other uni will be competitive and...
most unis are pretty similar, it will be competitive regardless. You will be fine man, just sometimes you get the odd stuck up person in law
Just stick to unsw, you'll find theres hundreds of like minded and it's easy to make friends. Just make sure you want to do law, I remember many in first...
I guess it helps a little bit, from what I hear its not a scholarship or anything, but it allows you talk to lecturers and higher year students about what you wanna do at uni
I'm tipping you to get in.
I'm not entirely sure what transam up there is wholly accurate. I've met people in commerce at unsw with 88-90 atars (which is always a highly competitive degree regardless) and they had similar if not the same amount of bonus points.
My theory is that if your...
do whatever you please, can only give my opinion
@OP you're going to have to do the higher levels of mathematics (which arent easy). Just give it a go, I would not recommend adv math unless you actually want to further study IN maths, but theres always flexibility. Ways you can prepare is...
mate just do combined commerce as your first preference, why do you want to do adv maths? combined commerce with science (maths) is the same thing. You do advanced maths if thats the single thing you want to do, no point doing commerce and adv maths
I've already done and completed my finance major at unsw, best advice is to do your shit in order, theres no use going into higher levels of finance for no reason.
bruh what are you thinking, just do 1612 first.. it definitely gives a good base for finance. Not sure what those 2 dudes above are talking about, do it in order, you wont regret it. You're only in second year next year anyway, so you can do it in sem 2. Then in year 3 you do the level 3 subs.
