    i thought it was easy and only had trouble with 1 or 2 2 markers and the 4 mark pictorial which i didnt really attempt. but other than that it was easy. and how easy was the hybrid vehicle part? so much u can talk about.

    the part before the distance calculation - did it ask to find the mass or the weight of the rod? i think i only found the mass (from the graph = easy)...but didnt time it by 9.8...i timesd it by 9.8 in the distance calculation though. oh well nothing i can do now.

    copper isnt a permanent magent. iron, nickel, cobalt are. it is the eddy current's magnetic field that opposes the magnet. the eddy current is produced by the falling magnet. lenzs law.

    YES! they never give enough lines. I was writing as small as possible and went over the given amout of lines by at least one line for every question.

    General thoughts on the exam

    i thought the exam was great, a really fair exam all up. i didnt get full marks in the big markers on the photoelectric effect, superconductors and the 7 marker in med physics, probably 4 out of 7 for that one. I think i made up for it though. im hoping band 6.

    Civil Engineering Queries

    Yes, I am also thinking of doing an engineering/commerce degree. In the undergrad guide for 2007, it says that it is a reduced engineering program, omitting general education. What does that mean? Can I still do the structural electives i.e. specialise?
