For English, I discovered that SIGI Learners at Hurstville is great. Especially if you get the class taught by the head tutor there Hayden. Very enthusiastic and lively and they also produce great results. It's literally next to the train station so transport if convenient. They actually do...
Totally sympathise with you on this. When I did the HSC, sleeping was so hard to the point I played soothing classical music! the mind just refused to turn off. Totally the most stressful time in my life, at least I thought it was. Ended up really tired the morning of the test, struggled through...
Yeah agreed, i know a few people who go there and say the same thing. Harry's Ed is now called HEC Sydney. No more English there, they specialise ONLY in Mathematics yr 7 to 12. If you want English and can make it further away to Hurstville, then totally recommend SIGI Learners... the head...
Funny you say this, I didn't need the marks and didn't do tutoring, just studied heaps, hung out with the smart ones. But there's always a risk, so tuition can help offset that risk. Sounds like pay to win, nowadays it's just pay to be level 😔
👍 that's a good point, attitudes to learning....Also nowadays kids do tuition just to level the playing field. yes it can get pricey, but it's for ur future. They say education is the key to success etc...opens opportunities, though there are various levels of success via other paths too
😂
😂 you got me again...So lots of carrots with the extra sss , I thought there's was a hidden significance :) . Me too, little to no tuition, just hung around the smart kids at school or look for resources. It's pricey and didn't want to burden the folks . It's pretty common nowadays...
Yeah heard great things about Ngo and Sons... some students travel a great distance just for the tutoring. Lucky if you live near them cause travel is a bummer when you got so much to do with school work and sports on weekends.
Btw, @carrotsss your user name sounds interesting. Is it by any chance from the Discworld novels... there's a awesome character named Captain Carrot :) You also have a phenomenal amount of messages. Do you have any recommendations for hey2737?
So @hey2737 to your original question, the only...
Oh sorry I misread.I thought you meant online tutoring. So you offer tutoring resources only? Any guidance or is this self learning? Interesting...definitely cheaper. :D
Yeah but staring at the screen for like 2 hours, 😐 may not be for everyone... sometimes there's just not that connection, atmosphere... Though online saves travel time, and time is so precious. Bad enough there's sports, assignments, homework...then tutoring ....argh...
Just sharing what I know so far. There's also Dr Du at Burwood, which is interesting due to their grading of students. Very strict on homework, but I'm a firm believer you gotta put the effort to get results. It's not just the tutor :)
