I'd probably take about 3-6 marks for the first section, 3-6 marks for the second section, and 6 marks for the two final sections combineded meaning I should get about 84-90 :) (crosses fingers)
I did that almost exact essay as practise (Thankyou BOS), and had revised it throughly for revision. Really there isn't much scope as far as Delian league questions go, not like Persian wars.
It was a solid exam which offered plenty of chances for the btter students to excel while still giving the less capable students a good run imo. Probably couldn't have asked for much better given what is in the syllabus.
I did the Delian League question from Greek World 500-440 BC for Section III, and the Hyksos question from Start N.K. Egypt -> Thutmose IV for Section IV, both were nice questions IMO + fitted well with what I'd studied! w00t w00t!
I did hatshepsut, didn't like the final question on her Imagery, the others were leftfield but very answerable, but the one on her imagery I was down to quoting archaeological source and "historians say...."
Yeah I found my quesstions using the TOC on each section, spent the first part of reading time getting the staple out without damaging the paper (ended up hurting my finger though :'( damn short finger nails) read through questions then spent the last part considering the personalities questions...

Check Q2 (a) on the 1996 paper and compare with our Q3 (a), BoS is getting abit lazy I think.
Yeah I'm happy now, I'm pretty sure my mark is between 82/120 and 77/120 now maybe take a few for silly mistakes i don't rember making :). Cheers to Terry Lee for the sollutions.
I agree up untill 4 it was a nice easy paper :), then it became drastically harder :P.
I got Q1-4 out of the way fine, should have done well on Q5 and Q6 will get 0/15 for Q7 and probably 2/15-4/15 for Q8
Well scalling is meant to assure that us guys who do more difficult subjects aren't disadvantaged for doing them :). So if you can get a b6 in 2unit then your mark in 4u should be (unless your abilities are out of proportion) sufficient for the equilvelent band in 4unit which is a band E4...
As I said previously I get about 70-80 doing past papers, if I was doing 2unit I would get a band 6. So is it entirely fair that my mark doesn't get scaled to band E4? Besides the space between the marks isn't what's going to affect the UAI, its your ranking which will affect it.
