I know this! :D I used to be on the HSC Maths Help Forum group. But then I deactivated my Facebook account so I can focus on HSC more and not hear my phone beep every second... "Some dude you don't know just commented on your photo!" ... *Facebook Deactivated* xD
Haha, sweet logic!
My teacher totally cut out the way our textbook teaches the trapezoidal rule, so I guess that's why I didn't go ahead in holidays in Math and I just basically revised prelim topics :P
But then what will you be doing in class? You're going to be bored since you already know everything :P I personally don't like self-teaching esp. in subjects like Math since your teacher might tell you easier concepts etc.
Eh.. I was interested in the TSFX lectures too, but when I was wanting to do the 2u Math lecture, I did some digging around and found out that they just teach you Prelim stuff again. For $160+, idk if that's worth it :P Up to you TBH.
Don't ever choose subjects based on "scaling". I know so many people that did higher scaling subjects "4u Math, Physics, Chem" thinking they were going to get a high atar with them and that their classmates will "drag them up" even if they don't even like the subject. They completely failed...
Oh!!! right! So I gotta ensure that I am not too far away from First place! Because the difference is what matters? Got it! :) Thanks so much for your help mate!
Hello!,
I am going to be sitting my HSC in 2016.
Subjects: Standard English, 2u Mathematics, Business Studies, Geography and IDT (VET Course).
My aim is to get an ATAR of 90+.
I only chose IDT because my school didn't have enough students to run IPT. I am absolutely smashing IDT and...
Did you end up getting a high ATAR rank? Or did you not do so well? If so, was it because of Standard English that your ATAR wasn't too good? If it was good (80+), what subject(s) contributed to that ATAR?
Thank you :D
Even if it wasn't too late, I wouldn't want to do Adv. English anyway. I know my strengths, English is definitely not one! I realise doing Adv. Eng is better for my ATAR, but I personally believe doing Std. English is better for my ATAR since that's a subject I know if I try hard...
I am doing my HSC in 2016, isn't that too late? :\ But I will try my best in Standard English!, I will try to achieve at least within the top 5 ranks in my cohort.
For English Standard, near the top in the state is close to impossible for me. I've always been a weak person in relation to English. For IDT, I will inevitably get near the top in the state. I'm just gifted with that course. I've smashed every single assessment task to date.
