Economics Major: What MATH/STAT units can you substitute for ECMT1010 and 1020?

The statistical MATH units are substitutes for ECMT1010 and 1020 as far as I know. I also replaced ECMT2110 with STAT3912, and ECOS2903 with MATH2970.

Studying while living in a College

there's actually at least one guy at my college doing pharmacy. he really has to study a lot, but at the same time, he does have a life. nobody's going to judge you if you don't go to stuff, but there are always heaps of things to go to if you want. the only thing is, make sure you can...

    Study Chinese

i'm not an expert on this, but my sister is, and in the business world, being able to speak another language is always a bonus. there's a huge fuss about china especially now, so why not jump on the bandwagon? even if you don't actually use it, i can tell you that it can be a great hook on your...

    Nerdy and blonde mistakes?

i announced to my maths c [similar to maths ext?] class that "wow! pi is like half a pie! so two pi is a whole pie!" which made total sense in my head, but when you say it out loud, it sounds absolutely ridiculous and confusing. more blondly, a friend of mine fell asleep in class and hurriedly...

so apparently second round offers are out. i was previously offered a merit scholarship with the faculty of economics and business, but with the second round, they "upgraded" it to a USyd merit scholarship (is there a difference? it still seems to be related to the faculty you apply to ...) and...

    17 year olds?

encouraging. i'm starting this year and won't be 18 until next january. which was kinda convenient for my late accommodation applications ;p at least the accommodation officers feel sorry for 17-year-olds. i'm a bit bummed about limited social life for a year, but it's the same with my friends...

    uni in america

i know this is an oldish thread but had to add my 2 cents here. from my year's research, undergrad degrees are worth pretty much the same from everywhere. uni names just make them sound cooler, that's all. it's the postgrad that matters. in terms of money, applications and ease of...

    Elite universities... :s

Sorry, I probably should have been more detailed. When I looked into Yale, Harvard and Princeton for myself, I found that they organised financial aid packages regardless of citizenship (unlike some universities which only offer financial aid to American students, or have completely different...

    Elite universities... :s

Actually, I'm pretty sure the financial aid package is irrespective of citizenship -- at least for Yale, Princeton and Harvard.
