Having some problems with the following:
The amplitude of a particle moving with SHM is 5 metres and the acceleration when 2 metres from the mean position is 4 m/s/s. Find the speed of the particle at the mean position and when it is 4 metres from the mean position.
The following are two questions which I couldn't obtain the solution provided.
It may be a mistake I haven't picked up in my working or an error after all.
Any worked answers or solutions only are much appreciated.

I didn't think to use the answers, but I'll remember to look into them beforehand.
I have the 1st edition of the book, whereas the solutions are provided for the 2nd edition. I looked at the first page of solutions of Chapter 1 and they were not related at all, so I just forgot about them...
I can calculate from the cliff to the top of the parabola and then from the top of the parabola to the point in line with the cliff.
What I can't calculate is the range from the point in line with the cliff to the ground 50m below.
