    General Thoughts: Physics

I started like that when I realised the question specifically mentioned calculations.. I went below "End of question" on the page so the marker probs be mad.

    transmission question

Re: General Thoughts: Physics What did you get for powerloss. I only got something like 1.6MW. So they would have to generate 101.6MW at the power station. Compared the others, this was the lowest to reach 100MW at the substation.

The last Q for Quanta to Quarks was a cracker.. Loved it.

Winning... I knew going over trick questions from past papers would help.. There was 3 that I had seen in past ones that I got tricked on when practicing.. Pays off :)

Does anyone agree with my reasoning behind choosing B for 8?

    Section I - Multiple Choice

For question 8. Very similar to one from 2006 except it was current, not force. Look at answer. Doing it like that you get B as I answered.

Re: General Thoughts: Physics Yep I got 20 = B. Changed wavelenth to frequency and used E = hf, changed to eV.

    That tower question

I said orbit, but to tell you the truth I had NFI and just wrote total baloney.

    Finding amu

I actually haven't seen a question on this in the past papers I have been going over. If you have seen one please post it up. I would prefer a binding energy question over Standard Model of Matter question any day of the week!
