My two cents:
Engineering has similar mechanics type questions every year for the hsc exam - for example. if you have a look at previous exams, you'll notice truss questions (which are analytical type questions and are usually valued to 7-9 marks, out of 100 in the exam) are in every year...
It's one of those questions where they give you more information than you need. The formula for efficiency is MA/VR, so if the question asks what is the MA of the system, then it would be C as 6.3 X 85%=~5.3. But it's simply asking for the VR, so it's just D^2/d^2 :)
Okay so the VR formula for hydraulics systems is D^2/d^2, where D is the output diameter and d is the input diameter. So if you sub the values in, you should get 6.25, which is then rounded to 6.3 (D) :)
Imma just say it: eco content is not too bad. IMO, there really aren't too many hard concepts to grasp. It's just the essays. I don't know if I have essayphobia or I straight up suck, but every time I sit down and look at the question, I just struggle to nail a basic structure, let alone write a...
Feels bruh. I posted this last year, see if you can find anything useful. Just remember, there's a difference between your raw marks that you achieved in exams and assignments, and the reported marks on your hsc. More than happy to explain...
English is the only subject in which I lack proficiency, but these seem pretty achievable. If I get ~70 for all english, do you reckon mid-high 80s for the rest will balance everything out?
Thanks :)
I'm just starting the HSC course for all of my subjects, and I'm finding it hard getting a bearing on what raw marks I need in order to get a 90+ Atar. Could someone give me ballpark numbers for my subjects? (i assume I need B6s for most if not all)

Here's the situation:
I am currently in Advanced English, studying belonging. So far we have analysed Immigrant Chronicle and Beneath Clouds. Our first assessment task was an in class essay, analysing Beneath Clouds. 45 minutes to view two scenes, 45 minutes to write the piece.
