Hey I'm also doing Elec engg and comm :) except comp1917 instead of 1911, and I know absolutely nothing about computing.....
You could also do Engg1000 next year semester 1, which is what I'm doing. That way I can do a commerce subject sometime this year (not following the 50/50 split, I'm...
If Elec1112 is cancelled, does anyone know when most electrical engineers are doing elec1111, sem 1 or sem 2? I'm trying to "stay with same cohort" if that makes sense?
Wait what?? Why is he doing that? It says Elec1112 is on hold and I had no idea what it meant. lol I spent the whole day trying to fit Elec1112 into my timetable.... O.o
^^Also anomalousdecay, he knows a LOT about this.
For Q2: Many people have said it's fine to do Elec1112 and 2141 together, you can basically overlook that pre-requisite. According to the people who ran Elec1112 last year, it "is an important pre-requisite for ELEC2134 Circuits and Signals...
Hey can someone clarify what you actually do in the lectures, tutes, labs and others (if applicable) for the following courses? I'm trying to spread out my timetable so I won't have to do multiple (in-class) assessments on the same day if possible.
Phys1131
Math1141
Elec1112
Comp1917...

Oh yeah you're right! I swear last time I checked the suggested plan on the faculty website said you do elec1111/1112 in semester 2, so that's why I thought 1112 would be offered in sem2 as well.
Oh oops better change my enrolment...... so I...
wait i thought most elec engg students would be doing elec1111/1112 in semester 2? as the suggested plan goes math phys comp engg1000 for sem1, math phys engg elec for sem2?
Oh haha I see now :') that reminds me of the last few weeks of year 12 when I had a 9-10am start and a 3-4pm finish with nothing in-between :') it got so boring that I even ended up watching movies/sports in the library sometimes.
I think I'll pick the 9am start then, cuz it should be easier to...
Yeah makes sense!
Though I don't have a preferred routine :/ I either do nothing or cram a week of school in one day... lol time to reflect back on when my efficiency was at its best.
Why do you feel your 6-9pm lab was the absolute worst?
Hmm I see fair enough. When do clubs and societies run events usually? Like late in the day etc?
I planned out my timetable in a way such that I do not have back-to-back classes, that way I could get some rest in-between or study during...
I know this is probably solely dependent on the individual, but is it not a good idea to have classes late in the day?Because I have the choice of doing a 3 hours long tute/lab either in the morning at 9am or in the evening so it finishes at 9pm... transport won't be a problem.
Are there...
