My name is Sara and I am 18 years old. I completed my HSC last year. I will say that my results were very good, however, I got a really crap atar due to the scaling down of my school, and my subjects. Now, I'm not one of those people who go and actually get an atar of say, about 70, and whinge saying it's not good, as I actually got quite a bit below that. Yes, I was disappointed, as I have always been someone who got very good results throughout most subjects. Saying this, I am currently at University, doing the course that I have always dreamed of. The HSC is not all it is made out to be. I did my absolute best, and although I honestly thought I wouldn't succeed because of the atar, and I still did. If something goes wrong, don't stress. It's NEVER over. Your opportunities to do what you want are endless. A bit of advice? If any early offers come up, TAKE THEM. Now, I received a letter for an early offer to UWS. So I took it. I followed all the instructions they gave, and I got it. It doesn't matter what your atar will be, and what uni you go to. There are TAFE courses, and colleges you can go to if need be.
I enjoy helping other people, so please feel free to take and use any of my study notes that I put up here. I'm not one who really cares about other people are using 'my' work. As long as it is helping others, that's all I want
I have completed three majors (CAFS, Textiles and Art). So if anyone has questions about what to do or wants any help regarding these, please, feel free to ask.
Good luck to anyone doing the HSC!
