Well I went and bought a dress shirt and pants. It's ridiculous how expensive it is to hire the academic attire though. $90 (+$40 late fee). Come on. I'm still a student you know.
Hey - on the off chance someone sees this in time. I'm graduating tomorrow, and have only just decided to actually go. I can hire the academic attire and stuff, but are there any unwritten rules about what to wear beneath it? Will I stick out ridiculously if I wear jeans and boots, or is...
Re: Subject Reviews
Who's lecturing History of God now? When I did it it was Tony Swain, maybe the best lecturer I had at Usyd, but he retired that year.
Yeah, done that. Just wanted to know how long I had to stock up on worthwhile articles. I think I'm going to feel a little lost when that gets cut off.
So I've just graduated this semester. My library account has been deactivated for most of a month already, but does anyone know when we'll lose access to online journals?
The Shining is the best King book I've read. Cujo was ok. There are some decent parts of 'It', you'll at least remember a certain controversial scene near the end.
Yeah, the impression I have is that anthropology is more descriptive, experiential and particularistic, whereas sociology is much more technical; demographic studies, etc.
