    Attendance and Absent Fails

Yeah, I did read through the outlines but most just say that I have to attend tutorials but doesn't really offer much advice on what to do if I miss one... or two. I'm doing science, so not quite enginerring, but I don't think I could pull it off like your friend. lol, guess we'll see when the...

    Attendance and Absent Fails

Oh yes, absolutely, responsibility is all mine. I totally get that. That mum thing was my attempt at humour in what was otherwise a bit of a sob story. I own up to it completely, I just wanted to know about the system and what could be the consequences of what I completely admit to be my own...

    Attendance and Absent Fails

So week 5 of my 1st year at uni and the amount of classes I've missed is starting to alarm me. A combination of lack of motivation to do my course, 4 hours of travelling everyday and a series of stupid mishaps (thanks mum for not telling me daylight savings ended a week later this year) means...

    Late Round baby!!!!

Phew! Bsc/BA at USYD. Very excited :) I had got B Fine Art in main round, which had been my first preference but completely changed my mind. So relieved I don't have to go to COFA!

    B Science/B Arts

Thanks so much for your replies! I never thought I'd be going to USYD so I didn't ask these things at the open days so thanks for the info! I hope that you could also better explain this to me. "To qualify for the award of the pass degrees in the BSc/BA course a student shall complete units...

    B Science/B Arts

Hello, I was wondering if anyone who does this course could tell me what the workload is like. I'm interested in doing psychology as my major for science and english for the arts conponent. What's the timetable like? How many hours, etc. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but in first year we have...

For BSc?: UTS? UNSW? or UTS? or UWS?

Re: For BSc?: UTS? UNSW? or UTS? I also have a very similar dilemma and was wondering what you have heard. I have heard a lot about people hearing things about UNSW but never knew exactly what it was. hehe, I feel like a missed a "why not to choose UNSW " brochure that everyone else got or...

    Official countdown for HSC results.

I booked a driving lesson for 6:30 hoping to keep my mind occupied at least for part of the night. Now I think it probably wasn't such a good idea with me so distracted. I'll probably end up crashing and killing myself less than 12 hours before I find out my results. :bomb: Good luck everyone!

    Modern History Studying Tips

Re: Studying for Modern History?? Look at your syllabus. Get to know it really really well. Make it your best friend. Especially look at the key features and issues. And practice writing essays. It's one thing to know a lot of information but another to actually put it together into an essay. :)

    UAI REALITY ChEcK!!!!

I decided that during the HSC would be the best time to have a mental breakdown (I'd been pretty depressed for most of the year but the stress at the end really tipped me over). The best part was an axiety attack during English Paper 1 (3 out of 5 supervisors had to help me) which destroyed my...

    The Crusades

I thought crusads worked pretty well with the question. I ran out of time so the end was a bit rushed but I hope I did okay. Actually I better do really good because I made a mess of Physics in the morning... why, oh why did they put my last two on the same day???

    Physics equations

It's not an equation but for those who are doing Astrophysics, it is important to remember that 1 parsec = 3.26 light years (easy way to remember is 3 x 2 = 6). As far as I know, it is the only value that we may need but is not given on the date sheet. :)

    So, who's finished?

I finish on Monday after a double whammy of Physics and History Extension. My head will explode :)

anyone got 2 exams in a day?

I have physics and history extension on my last day. It's going to be an interesting backflip for my brain to make. I wish I'd done more this holidays to prepare for those two subjects but as far as I know, physics hasn't come up with a time machine yet. Don't Panic...

    Inertial reference question

I had a similar question in my textbook and this is how they explained it (to put it into the context of this question, my book used a car): You can tell that it is an inertial frame of reference as all the laws of physics applies the same, the same law of gravity and same laws of motion and...
