well i dont mean 1 exam only... more like a series of exams with some being interviews... see in europe they have oral exams( i dont no if they use scaling and all that) where the sit u down and ask u what u've learnt... im not saying that i wanna do that its just as i said a thought...

im not necessarily proposing anything,rather, mearly pondering upon the idea that the system may not be fair to all... i just wonder if it would be better(which it may not) if all this stuff was removed and your mark was the one u got for your final exam ie HSC without scaling and aligning...

Re: Best Chemistry Textbooks/Guides? I use chem context (the new1). .. its a good book in terms of how it is set out and nice and colourful with pictures.. unlike jacaranda chem... but context has its problems... 4 somethings it goes way over the top and for others such gives a brief sentence...

well i disagree.. its not what you deserve.. its what some stupid system says you deserve.. though i understand your reasoning.. but its just that there are ppl out there who may be wothy of good high marks and cannot achieve them because of their school cohort..(and no these people may not be...

im saying if you go bad in externals... ie get 100 internal, 50 in external and every 1 else is significantly lower than you in both internals and externals... like 40s and 50s

thats not true...there are students who are very acedemically gifted that go to schools that have a cohort that isnt... then what... do they deserve a crap mark..not at all!

hang on a second.... does this mean that rank is more important than marks>>> i know rank is important but say if you are ranked first in your school but ur marks are like in the 60s can you still get a good uai of like 89+???
