I wouldn't flat out assume your premise is incorrect, I'd ask for supporting evidence for your premise. And as I have pointed out many times in this discussion, there's a well documented link between intelligence and introversion.

Look, there is a highly documented link between intelligence and introversion. I have never and will never say that intelligence by default means you're socially inept. But anyone who denies there is a link in in denial.

I'm basing my perception of their social competency not really on how they've interacted with me but with, for example, the school cohort as a whole. How well they can interact with a diverse range of people.

If you were smart enough you'd know it is hereditary to a largely measurable extent? There are exceptions (as with anything!) and if you actually read my comment properly I'm against sweeping generalizations and readiy accept there'd be sociable or non sociable (what exactly is your definition?)...

But then we can get into the whole nature over nurture discussion and that'll be a nightmare. I'm pretty sure what I said is what's generally accepted.
