    Stressing over getting into uni

Just because your subjects dont scale well doesn't mean that your atar is necessarily going to be bad, You can get ANY atar with ANY subject selection. As long as you work hard and get sufficiently high marks you will achieve your aim.

    Atar Estimate

    Hey, would it be possible for an Atar Estimate? Both students from same school, 93 in 2012, ~150 2013 (Particularly weak cohort) Student A: MX1: 1/14 MX2: 1/5 Physics: 2/32 Engineering Studies: 1/8 Advanced English: 18/83 Student B: MX1: 4/14 MX2: 3/5 Bio: 3/33 (2% off first)...

    ATAR Estimate?

Hi guys, Now that the first semester is essentially finished, I was wondering if anyone could give me an estimate of my ATAR. My school's rank tends to fluctuate around between the 90's to low 100's averaging about 110 in the past five years. My subject ranks are: Maths 3U: 1/16 Maths 4U...

    Special Relativity Questions

The rest mass of an object does not increase with its velocity, but in order to increase its velocity you must give the object kinetic energy increasing the total energy the object. This amount of energy is the same for both reference frames. The increase in energy of an object results in an...

    Gravitational potential energy dot points?

For the first dot point, GPE isn't necessarily 'created' when work is done. Work done is equal dPE + dKE, so if the KE stays the same, work done is equal to the change in GPE. As for the second, Imagine you have an object an infinite distance away, its GPE is 0. If that object moves to a...

    textbook recommendations

Not sure about the other subjects but for engineering studies Id recommend Schlenker's "Introduction to Materials Science" and "Introduction to Mechanics". This covers pretty much everything and just use Copeland's "Engineering Studies" for the rest.
