I'm compiling student responses, in an attempt to initiate some action for student-focused causes. The more detailed the responses, the better, but I'll take anything!! What would you want the Director of Student Wellbeing to know, or what would you want them to do for you?

I have an external subject for this semster. Was automatically enrolled in the on campus session, but my hourglass appears only half full? Emailed eStudent, and they were absolutely useless!! Oh well.

You're right, they will only call back!! You must not have been too good at your job, otherwise they wouldn't have fired you! So many companies are looking for telemarketers, that the ones who have good telemarketers wouldn't let them go. :) Too hard to fill the jobs, and from this thread...

that's right cause they have little alarms that go off when you sit down for tea, then they all rush to phones just to call and disturb you!

Firstly, there are no statutes that goven "telemarketing", only advertising and telecommunications. However, calls are not supposed to be made after 8.30pm, or before 9am on weekdays, and calls on sundays are not supposed to occur either. But there are no laws to govern this, hence it is not...

I don't think there is any need to be rude, these people are just trying to make money. You don't know why they chose this field, don't judge. A simple "I'm not interested but thanks for the call" would suffice, but then again I'm sure you small minded, sadistic children would prefer to torment...

From what I understand and have been told, you get taxed on every dollar you make on your second job. And you get taxed hard.

the lecturer, e.de la fuente, said he's been offer another position or something, and would no longer be running the course. i believe it was higher up than course convenor or something!! anyway, cause he wouldn't be around to do the lectures, they got rid of the course.
