I like the fact that you assume people whom like anime have no taste in TV based off one persons comment. The only "animes" you've probably watched are Pokemon, Digimon and other Generic titles. True, really Josh Lawson, Shaun Micallef, Hamish Blake, Ross Noble, Angus Sampson and Arj Barker...

The only ones I can remember are Animals of Farthing Wood and Billy the Cat.

This movie was nothing other than shameless Zac Efron promotion. He's a decent actor, but the actual plot of the movie is so cliche and very, very predictable. And Matthew Perry's talent is wasted in this movie yet again. (Winces after remembering Serving Sara). That's just my opinion though.

It was entertaining, but it had barely any real resemblence to the original manga. It was more like a parody. Most of the fans however took this movie too seriously, it was bad, but funny bad. It was no where near as terrible as the Super Mario Bros Live Action movie, I'll tell you.

Twilight Not beacuse it's such a bad book by itself (but it's not good or even passable either), but mainly beacuse of the fanbase and it's overrated. Same thing can be said about the Harry Potter and the Eragon series IMO. *sigh* they just don't make real fantasy/supernatural/gothic...

I don't want to seem rude or be overly critical, but some parts of your story seemed to me to be way too predictable and cliched, and the ending way too melodramatic. ( I mean IMO a lot of people would write about "not belonging" in a school setting.) Also I wouldn't suggest ending the story...

I would say at least half the people who's doing 4 Unit in our school, either have done the course (by tutoring or ISL) or are doing the courses now (same reasons). But of course you Thomas and you as well Tim Siu have already finished it a long time ago...

Sam Mendes = Pure Win I didn't like Jarhead, it was directed well, I just don't like movies based on War. American Beauty and Road to Perdition are great films, I'm expecting very good things from Revolutionary Road.

It is a great movie, and a great text to use for belonging (family etc). The only problem is that IMO it seems to be a little bit overused, and if it's overused it is a lot harder to stand out when discussing the thematic concerns, values, concepts etc, because pretty much everyone who does this...

The two that stands out for me are Boston Legal and Eli Stone, you just do not get really good comedy-courtroom drama's these days. I also think that House MD, Dexter, Psych, NCIS, Criminal Minds are pretty high up there as well.
