Which subject is best and why? Legal, business, eco

I love Economics because my teacher is a complete nut (and teaches very well, mind you) who shows us Youtube and IBeatYou Videos of songs about Economics. (To the tune of Black Eyed Peas - My Humps) ...My Bumps, My Bumps, My Bumps, My Bumps! My Business Cycle Bumps, check it out! She's...

can you still get a good uai with standard english?

Hah! Yes, I'd love to do Advanced + EE2. And yes, it is definitely possible to do well even if you're doing Standard and you're doing well. But, if you can do well in Standard, then you can do well in Advanced. :uhhuh: Like everybody has been saying, if English is not your best thing, just...

    choosing subjects for Year 11

Doesn't really narrow your choices, just opens it to other possibilities. I am doing two social science subjects, but I actually wanted to do three (our school does not offer Legal Studies :mad1:), yet I do not feel my career/Uni path has been impeded by these choices because what's most...

    Anyone going overseas?

Going with friends to Taiwan on a Chinese School Program. We basically get to Taiwan ourselves and meet at a University, and then we get taken around a three week tour. We only have to pay for the plane tickets, accomodation/food etc are covered by the government.

How did you find/hear about us?

I think I typed in 'bored' on google search just to see what sites there are and Bored of Studies was midway down on the first page. I checked it out and signed up in April, but didn't start actually visiting the site until June when a friend randomly told me he liked to go on BoS.org.

Is writing 1037 words in 50 minutes for an Economics essay acceptable?

Depends on your pen speed and style of writing. Also make sure you have 5 minutes at the end to speed read over your work and make corrections. Try timing yourself now by rewriting your essay from memory by hand. You'll see how much you're able to produce in 50 minutes and see how much you can...

Raped by her uncle, but can she have an abortion?

Aren't you being a bit bigoted here in calling abortion a sin? Religious beliefs should not affect basic humanitarian moral rights. I'm a bit of an agnostic (or maybe I've read a bit too much of Dawkin's The God Delusion), but I do know that people do not reside in vacuums and there should...

    Study Hours

According to my friend's tutor, a Year 12 student who wants to achieve their fullest potential should study (not incl. H/W of course) at LEAST 4 hours a day. How do people find time for winding down, tutor and hobbies?

    Feelings towards year 12

People tell me that Year 12 is better than 11 as it's spread across a larger time frame, so there is time to wind down. But I guess it's a matter of principle and opinion. Well, I'm excited, but at the same time quite nervous. Looking forward to the 3/4 month break at the end of it I suppose?

    English HELP!

    Holiday Study Plans

Re: Holidays! Dang. We don't get an extra week off school. I've got three essays (which are all about 2000 words each) due the beginning of term 3, so I'm going to spent a great portion of the holidays finishing those. Then I need to study for 3U Maths and my weaker subjects such as English...
